Why do girls wear an "Ambiguity Ring" (Jerk Magnet) on their wedding ring finger -- like they are engaged?
What is the deal? So many women wear rings that are NOT engagement rings, but look like they MIGHT be. Do women understand that a jerk will sleep with a girl on her wedding night, so he does not care if you are engaged? But a nice guy will not ask you out if you are wearing what appears to be an engagement ring. And, no, you will NEVER get the chance to tell him that you are not engaged after finding out if you like him, because he will never introduce himself or get to know you if he might risk interfering with your existing engagement. He is not going to waste his time getting to know someone who is not available. So you will never get the chance. Meanwhile, jerks will approach you regardless. Do women not get this? Are women wearing quasi-engagement rings without even realizing that is what it looks like? Or is there some plan here (good or poor planning)?
i dont think its a question of trying to attract men - some women lay a lot of store by marriage/engagement. its a statement to the world that someone loves you enough to commit forever and maybe some girls just like to pretend
